Joan's Positions and Concerns
This is the 50th anniversary of the formation of
the St Louis Community College which has been wonderful community asset.
We
need to assure that it continues to be here another 50 years.
To some,
STLCC is the first step toward a four-year college degree.
To
others, it is the acquisition of new skills in order to meet the ever-changing
job market.
To
others of us it is keeping our minds alert and expanding our knowledge about the
world.
And,
to some it is participating in the many cultural and recreational activities.
My major
concerns are keeping STLCC accessible and affordable for all, while making
constructive plans for the future so it continues to serve our needs.
